The nut-job launch event for the Pirelli P7 Corsa Classic was pure, Italian, chaotic genius with Markku Alen and Juha Kankkunen. Watch and smile.
Group C was a category of motorsport, introduced by the FIA in 1982 for sports car racing, along with Group A for touring cars and Group B for GTs.
It was designed to replace both Group 5 Special Production Cars (closed top touring prototypes like Porsche 935) and Group 6 Two Seater Racing Cars (open-top sportscar prototypes like Porsche 936). Group C was used in the FIA’s World Endurance Championship (1982–1985), World Sports-Prototype Championship (1986–1990), World Sportscar Championship (1991–1992) and in the European Endurance Championship (1983 only). It was also used for other sports car racing series around the globe. The final year for the class came in 1993. Broadly similar rules were used in the North American IMSA Grand Touring Prototype series GTP. Continue reading
“Accidents are unsuspected and hated, but they are part of life. When you are fitted in a racing car and you race to win, second or third place is not enough. You must take the compromise to win, or else nothing. That means: you race or you do not.”
20 years ago, Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft became the most important european touring car championship alongside BTCC. The Cars were fast and the races were exciting.

I never get tired to watch at this video as Ari Vatanen dances on the razor’s edge during the whole ascent to Pikes Peak, it has a few years … but it is worth seeing again and again. Driving in its purest form
Climb Dance is a famous short film, which features Finnish rally driver Ari Vatanen setting a record time in a highly modified four-wheel drive, all-wheel steering Peugeot 405 Turbo 16 GR at the 1988 Pikes Peak International Hillclimb in Colorado, USA. The film was produced by Peugeot and directed by Jean Louis Mourey. The record time set was 10:47.77. Continue reading

The Group C Porsche 962 is an iconic race car to say the least. In the 80’s it won countless Le Mans races and to this day holds a very special place in car enthusiasts hearts. One particular Japanese car enthusiast loves this car so much that he can’t keep this race car restricted to circuit duties only. He feels the overwhelming need to spend much more time with it, on the streets!
Disclaimer: No speed limits or local Japanese road rules were broken during the filming of this movie.
Disabled parking: We had permission to park the 962C in the disabled parking area on private property. No disabled people were put out of parking during the short period of time we occupied the space.
